These steps describe the configuration/creation of application for Okta IdP.


1. In the Okta admin console, navigate to Applications > Applications


2. Click "Create App Integration"


3. In the dialog, select "SAML 2.0" and click next


4. You'll be redirected to a new page


5. General settings


    • Type in a name for your application (can be anything)
    • Upload an app icon if you want
    • Click next


6. SAML settings


    • Copy the URLs from company settings in Cloud
      • Paste "Return URL" into the "Single sign-on URL" field
      • Paste "Issuer" into the "Audience URI (SP Entity ID)" field
    • Application username can be left on "Okta username", but if not, try changing it to "Email"
    • Click next


7. After the app is created click the "Sign On" tab


    • Copy the "Metadata URL" in Okta and paste it into the "Metadata URL" field in company settings in Cloud


8. Click the "Assignments" tab in Okta and assign some users to the application


    • Click Assign > Assign to people
    • A dialog shows up
    • Click the Assign button for any user you want to sign-in with
    • Once you're finished, click the Done button
