Canon - Prerequisites

Installation via Canon Content Delivery System (CDS) using the device Remote User Interface (RUI) is performed on a per-device basis and cannot be executed in bulk. This installation method is therefore suitable primarily for environments with a limited number of devices. If the Web Access Software option is not available in the device configuration, contact your local Canon representative to enable the Web Access Kit on the device.

To successfully install the OptimiDoc Cloud embedded application, the following prerequisites must be met:

  • The latest Canon firmware must be installed on the device.

  • The device must have connectivity to the selected OptimiDoc Cloud data centre.

  • The tenant must be enabled in OptimiDoc Cloud.

  • It is required and recommended that the device is kept clean. This means that if any software was previously installed or advanced configurations were set up (such as a proxy), it is wiser to factory reset the device.

  • The Web Access Software must be enabled on the device prior to installation. The availability of Web Access Software can be verified under: Counter [Key] > Device Info/Other > Check Device Configuration.

  • An active internet connection is required for installation via CDS.
