Canon - Manual configuration of Authentication app

This section explains how to manually configure and pair the Authentication application with your company’s Cloud account.

The configuration is performed by accessing a specific URL on the device. The required connection parameters are passed directly within the URL as query parameters.

Configuration Parameters

The following parameters can be customized in the URL:

  • server_host - URL of the cloud datacenter.

  • server_port - communication port (typically 443 for HTTPS).

  • server_context - ID code of your company.

ID code can be found on the OptimiDoc Cloud portal. Once logged in, navigate to the Admin console > Dashboard > Identification code widget and click show value.

Configuration Steps

  1. Open a web browser.

  2. Navigate to the device configuration page using the following format:

https://DEVICE_IP:PORT/OptimiDocConfig?server_host=DATACENTRE_URL&server_port=443&server_context=COMPANY_ID
  1. Replace the placeholders with your actual values:

  • DEVICE_IP - IP address of the device.

  • PORT - device port (e.g., 8443).

  • DATACENTRE_URL - URL of the cloud datacenter where is your company located.

  • COMPANY_ID - ID code of your company.
